Privacy Policy
- The app is a work tool for law enforcement agencies. You can only use it with an account your agency gives you.
- What you view and enter in the app (your schedule, requests, inspections, equipment and training records) is your agency's work information, stored in your agency's YourPD-WEB portal.
- The app does not track your location, does not use advertising or analytics tracking, and we do not sell your information.
Who we are
The YourPD-WEB mobile app (the "App") is provided by Post Web Design ("we," "us," or "our"), the maker of the YourPD-WEB platform. The App connects to the YourPD-WEB portal operated for your law enforcement agency or department (your "Agency").
Your Agency decides who has an account, what each person can see and do, and how long its records are kept. We host and operate the portal on your Agency's behalf. This policy explains what the App itself handles on your device and in connection with your Agency's portal.
Information the App handles
Account and sign-in
You sign in through your Agency's portal, usually with the work account your Agency already uses (such as Google Workspace or Microsoft 365). When you use single sign-on, your password goes to that sign-in provider, not to us. After you sign in, the App keeps a secure session for your Agency's portal on your device so you stay signed in.
Work information you view or enter
Depending on what your Agency has turned on and what your role allows, the App lets you view and submit work information such as your schedule, time-off and overtime requests, shift swaps and sign-ups, policy acknowledgments and quiz results, cruiser (vehicle) inspections, equipment sign-outs and returns, and training certifications. This information is sent to and stored in your Agency's portal, where authorized people at your Agency can see it according to their permissions.
Photos and documents you choose
If you attach a photo of vehicle damage to a cruiser inspection, or upload a certificate to your training record, the App asks for access to your camera, photos or files at that moment. Only the specific photo or file you pick is uploaded to your Agency's portal. The App does not browse or upload anything else from your device.
Push notifications
If you allow notifications, the App registers your device for push notifications and sends a device push token, and whether it's an iPhone or Android device, to your Agency's portal. Your Agency's portal uses that token to send you work notifications, such as newly posted shifts or updates to your requests. Notifications are delivered through the Expo push notification service and Apple or Google's notification services, which receive the notification's short title and message in order to deliver it. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.
Face ID, Touch ID and fingerprint unlock
If you turn on biometric unlock, your device's operating system checks your face or fingerprint and only tells the App whether the check succeeded. The App never receives, stores or sends your biometric data.
Stored on your device
The App stores a few settings on your device: which Agency you connect to, your Agency's name and branding, light or dark appearance, and how you've arranged your home screen. These stay on your device and are removed when you uninstall the App.
What the App does not collect
- Your location. The App does not request or use location access.
- Your contacts, microphone, calendar or health data.
- Your device's advertising identifier. The App does not track you across other apps or websites.
- Analytics, advertising or crash-reporting tools from third parties. The App does not include them.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
How information is used
- To provide the App and your Agency's portal: showing your information, submitting your requests and records, and sending notifications you've allowed.
- To keep the service secure, including signing you in, enforcing your Agency's permissions, and keeping records of sign-ins and account changes.
- To provide support and fix problems when your Agency or you ask us to.
How information is shared
- With your Agency. Information you submit goes to your Agency's portal and is visible to authorized people at your Agency according to their roles and permissions.
- With service providers that help us run the service, such as cloud hosting and the push notification services described above, only as needed to provide it.
- When required by law, or to protect the security of the service and its users.
Security
Information sent between the App and your Agency's portal is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. Access within the portal is limited by the roles and permissions your Agency assigns, and sign-ins and account changes are recorded. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your device locked and protected with a passcode, and let your Agency know right away if your device is lost or stolen.
How long information is kept
Information in your Agency's portal is kept for as long as your Agency uses the service, or as your Agency's records retention policies and applicable law require. Settings stored on your device are deleted when you sign out or uninstall the App.
Your choices
- Notifications, camera and photos: you can allow or turn off these permissions at any time in your device settings.
- Seeing, correcting or deleting your information: because your account and records belong to your Agency, most requests are handled by your Agency's portal administrator. You can also contact us, and we'll work with your Agency on your request.
- Deleting your account: ask your Agency's administrator, or contact us at the address below. Some work records may need to be kept after your account is deleted to meet your Agency's records retention or public records obligations.
Children
The App is intended for law enforcement agency personnel. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the App changes. When we do, we'll change the effective date above, and for significant changes we'll give notice through the App or your Agency.
